Aledo, Texas — (May 14, 2025) — Tri-County Electric Cooperative is proud to celebrate one year of partnership with National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC) following the successful implementation of NISC’s Enterprise Software Solution. Over the past year, Tri-County has made remarkable strides in enhancing member service and streamlining operations through strategic use of NISC’s tools and platforms.
Tri-County has embraced NISC’s technology to modernize internal processes, drive cost efficiencies, and improve the overall member experience. From communication and billing to financial management, the cooperative has fully leveraged the capabilities of the NISC solution.
A standout achievement has been the launch of Current Conversations, Tri-County’s new digital member newsletter, delivered through NISC’s Multi-Channel Messenger platform. This communication upgrade allows the cooperative to share more timely updates with members while reducing costs and delays tied to traditional print mailings.
“Using Messenger, we’re able to reach members quicker and more efficiently,” said Andrea McCleese, Sr. Vice President, Engagement & Solutions at Tri-County. “The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and it’s allowed us to stay connected with members in a way that’s more modern and practical.”
Tri-County also rolled out a successful paperless billing campaign, with nearly 50% of members enrolled — resulting in significant savings on printing and mailing costs while improving delivery speed. Additionally, the cooperative implemented a prepaid billing program utilizing NISC’s Meter Data Management (MDM) platform, offering members greater control over their energy usage and eliminating the need for deposits.
On the financial side, Tri-County is using NISC’s core financial management tools to implement trackable department budgets – something not previously done – along with spending visibility and data-driven decision-making.
“Our ability to manage financial data in real time has been a game-changer,” said Dustin Tidball, CFO & Vice President, Finance at Tri-County. “NISC’s tools give us deeper insights into our budgeting process, helping us serve members more responsibly and effectively.”
NISC commends Tri-County for its proactive approach, commitment to innovation, and focus on member value.
“We’re proud to partner with a forward-thinking organization like Tri-County,” said Ed Wolff, Chief Member Officer at NISC. “They’ve embraced our technology with purpose and passion, and we’re honored to support their mission to serve their members more efficiently and effectively.”
