Standard Audit
An energy audit technician will go over your electric use along with explaining the audit process. The Standard Audit includes an inspection of most typical energy consuming devices, such as appliances and HVAC equipment. This is followed up with an in-depth thermal camera review of the entire home, including doors, windows, light fixtures, and baseboards.
After evaluating everything in the home, the energy audit technician will provide a detailed report, including pictures from the thermal camera and a list of recommendations to lower your energy use. This audit typically takes 90 minutes and includes all the items on the Standard Audit Checklist.
The member cost for the Standard Audit is $150.
3 Reasons you should have an Energy Audit
An energy audit is an assessment of your home that shows you where you can save money on your electric bill. The energy audit technician will look at your current energy consumption trends and help you understand where and how energy is used. This data empowers you to make productive changes to your home or lifestyle and identifies potential energy-saving opportunities.
The energy audit technician can assess where your home is losing the most energy and then propose improvements to help save energy and reduce your electric bills. Once the energy audit technician identifies where your home could benefit from energy improvements, you can take steps to resolve the issue. An audit may reveal the need to change settings on appliances, install energy-efficient light bulbs, or upgrade appliances to EnergyStar models. Major upgrades could be installing a solar system, replacing windows, or changing the insulation in your walls. With your energy audit technician's advice, you'll have a better idea of where to begin.
An energy audit can help you save money on your electric bills. Depending on what kind of home upgrades or lifestyle changes you make, you could potentially save on your electricity bill.
