Aledo, Texas (December 20, 2024)—Tri-County Electric Cooperative (TCEC), an electric distribution cooperative serving 16 counties in North Texas, today announced new officers on its Board of Directors.
At the regular monthly meeting of the TCEC Board of Directors held on Thursday, December 19, 2024, David Miller was elected to serve as chair of the board. The nine-member board also elected Timmy Yeary to serve as vice chair and Sommer Portwood as board treasurer and secretary.
Miller’s first board meeting was in January 2024, and Yeary’s and Portwood’s were in December 2024 and October 2022, respectively.
“Working with the new board officers, TCEC is well positioned to tackle the challenges that face the cooperative. Together, we can guide TCEC through its financial challenges while continuing to deliver safe and reliable power to members,” said Scott Spence, President and CEO.
