Tri-County Electric Cooperative (TCEC) has released a comprehensive Annual Report, highlighting the vast accomplishments it has achieved over the past 12 months.
Subtitled “Proof of Performance” and covering the most recent fiscal year, from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025, the report details immediate actions the newly installed TCEC Leadership Team took to address the Cooperative’s serious financial situation along with the various new and improved ways TCEC is serving members.
Highlights include:
- TCEC ending the fiscal year with less debt than it started with for the first time in six years
- The immediate impact of TCEC’s five-year power supply agreement shielding members from cost spikes within the volatile wholesale power market
- Significant financial actions and cost-saving initiatives, such as an end to aggressive subsidization for new members that cost then-existing members tens of millions of dollars
- A 25-minute decrease in power outages experienced by each member
- A 93% year-over-year decrease in call wait times
- More billing options to fit members’ specific needs
“This annual report lays out the amazing work by TCEC’s nearly 300 employees with an intentional focus on two key goals: improving the Cooperative’s financial health and improving member service,” said Tri-County Electric President and CEO Scott Spence. “The wins on display in this report were achieved with fewer resources and with fewer people. I am excited to see what this team will accomplish this year and beyond. They are Tri-County Electric.”
