Brazos Hardship Fund

The Brazos Electric Ratepayer Hardship Fund is designed to assist low-income residential TCEC and other cooperative members. The fund provides bill credits to help offset the additional charges incurred by members after Winter Storm Uri in 2021.

Please note that the Hardship Fund credits will only cover a portion of charges directly related to Winter Storm Uri (The Brazos Rider) and credit amounts will vary based on your energy usage.

  • You or someone in your household currently participates in programs such as SNAP, Medicaid, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).

  • If your household income is below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level based on the 2025 Federal Poverty Guidelines.
