Introducing CheckOut

CheckOut Brings a convenient way to pay your electric bill in cash.

Tri-County Electric Co-op members now have a new way to pay: CheckOut. Members who wish to pay their bill in cash can visit one of 2,500 participating locations, including Dollar General, Family Dollar and CVS. Members can still pay using autodraft, online through the member portal or TCEC Connect, by phone, in person and by mail.

Andrea McCleese, director of Member Service, says CheckOut offers members who want to pay their bill in cash a more convenient option.

“The billing statement has a barcode printed on the back that can be scanned by a cashier at one of those stores,” she said. “They accept the payment, and it posts to the member’s account in real time. For people who like to take care of this in cash, in person, this may offer a better opportunity, with longer hours.”

The website on the back of your bill lists local merchants participating in the program, and if they accept print or electronic barcodes. Learn more about CheckOut and all the ways you can pay your electric bill.
